IMG World of Adventures

IMG Worlds of Adventure is an indoor theme park in Dubai, the capital of the Emirate of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. With an area of 140,000 square metres and a capacity of more than 20,000 visitors daily, the year-round park is the largest indoor theme park in the world.[1] It was built starting in 2012 and opened on 31 August 2016 after several postponements (originally planned for 2013, then early 2014). The construction costs amounted to around 1 billion dollars. The owner is the Ilyas & Mustafa Galadari Group (IMG). The facility on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road is part of the City of Arabia in the still unfinished Urban Entertainment Centre DubaiLand. It is housed in a steel, air-conditioned domed building and divided into four themed zones that together contain around 20 rides. In addition, there is a Novo Cinemas large-scale cinema with twelve screens. Most of the roller coasters are from Mack Rides. Marvel: various attractions based around characters from the Marvel Comics (Avengers, Hulk, Spider-Man, Thor). Cartoon Network: Attractions based on characters from the Cartoon Network world including 5D cinema. Lost Valley - Dinosaur Adventure: an in-house development of IMG around the theme of dinosaurs, with electronically animated large-scale figures and rides; the largest roller coaster, Velociraptor, is attached outside the covered structure. IMG Boulevard: This area is located in the centre of the complex and contains a haunted hotel, restaurants and shops.
